The Fellowship Academy of Merit and Excellence (F.A.M.E.) Team are selected annually to promote a new generation of bright young hairdressers.
Nominated exclusively by Fellowship members the potential team members undergo a rigorous selection process that starts with a nomination from a Member of The Fellowship and includes photographic work, a test of the candidates' ability to recreate their photographs under time pressure, a detailed CV, an in-depth interview, a haircut, a long hair assessment and a 2-minute live demonstration of their hairdressing skills onstage at Salon International.
A busy and fulfilling year is organised for the F.A.M.E Team. This involves photographic shoots, media publicity, fashion shows, hairdressing seminars and events. Above all the team hone their skills and are given a unique platform to shine.
Top hairdressers who started their careers in the F.A.M.E Team include Umberto Giannini, Errol Douglas, Antoinette Beenders, Lisa Shepherd, Carolyn Newman, Paul Merritt, Zoë Irwin... and many more.
The semi - finals are to be held at the London based Condé Nast College of Fashion & Design on August 31st, 2016. We will keep you posted ...........
After an unprecedented number of entries across all six categories, it was down to the hair, fashion and photography industrys’ finest to make their selection during a buzzing judging session at ghd’s Dean Street Studios.
Big names including Nicola Clarke, Lee Stafford, Syd Hayes and Adam Reed generously gave their time and unique perspective on the entries, assessing piles of creatively presented portfolios, stunning creative shoots and industry innovations.
Amidst the hashtag selfies and brunch-time grazing, the panel managed to narrow down the field to just 30 supremely talented finalists. “Who are they?!
Jessica Neil has reached the FINALS for the Creative Head Most Wanted IT list for the Visionary category.
The award ceremony is in September at the Guildhall in London and we will keep you updateed with Jessica's progress.

Jessica Neil, Senior Stylist at KH Hair West Bridgford has secured her place in the National finals of Wella’s Trend Vision competition.
The annual competition is a celebration of the crème de la crème of international hairdressing and hundreds of thousands of stylists enter from around the globe every year.
Jessica was competing in the Young Talent and is just one of five stylists to make it through to the UK Final, which will take place in London in October
Jessica said: “I am still taking it all in to be honest! It all went so fast, from prepping my model on Monday through to taking the stage for the live final on Tuesday evening. I am over the moon to have made the UK Finals "

Jessica has also been chosen from hundreds of young hopefuls to win a place on the Sebastian Professional Cult Team.
She will spend two years working on photo shoots and backstage at exclusive events such as London Fashion week.
Jessica will do this along side working at the West Bridgford Salon and is really excited about being able to share her new ideas and training with staff and clients.
I am a member of the KH Hair Art Team and Sebastian Cult team for two years ending end of 2015 which has enabled me to work on photo shoots and take part in magazine work and shows.
I constantly learn new techniques and trends and love bringing this inspiration back to the salon.

I have been on lots of fantastic courses recently with Darren Ambrose, Adam Reed (who was amazing) and Sebastian cutting and product training.
I am a bubbly talkative young person.
I love my job and really enjoy interacting with clients; finding out their hair problems and giving advice and suggesting new ideas.
I especially enjoy doing restyles and colour work to complement the style,
In my spare time I enjoy socialising with my friends or relaxing at home with family.
My day off is a Monday.
